Animal Wall Art

Many pieces are a natural fit: the Stylish animals in neon glasses, the Cool Cats Crew and Cool Dogs Crew, and Pizza Please are all playful without being babyish.

Check the design first, though. A few of the boss characters hold cigars, whisky or champagne, so they suit a games room or home bar better.

On LED pieces, keep USB cables tidy and out of reach of small children. The 3D pieces with no lights need no power at all.

It comes down to where you want to hang it:

• Choose USB if there's a socket within reach and you'll have it on most evenings. There are no batteries to buy or swap.
• Choose battery if the best spot has no socket nearby, or you don't want a cable showing. The trade-off is replacing batteries from time to time.

The badge on every product photo shows which type it is. Browse USB powered LED wall art or battery powered LED wall art.

Yes, it's where most people hang it. Three rules of thumb:

• Choose a piece roughly two-thirds the width of the sofa or sideboard below it.
• Hang it with the centre at about eye level, around 145 to 150cm from the floor, or 20 to 25cm above the back of a sofa.
• Put it where you'll see it from your seat in the evening, because that's when the lighting does its work.

The LEDs are the long-lasting part. We don't publish an hours rating for each piece, but LED components are typically rated for 30,000 to 50,000 hours. At four hours every evening, 30,000 hours is over 20 years.

Heat and sunlight are what shorten the life of both the lights and the print, so hang it away from radiators and direct sun. On battery pieces the batteries will need replacing long before the LEDs wear out. Every piece also comes with a 12-month guarantee.

No more than warm to the touch. LEDs turn most of their power into light rather than heat, and every piece runs on low-voltage USB power or batteries, so there is no mains voltage in the artwork itself.

As with any electrical item, don't cover it while it's on, and don't hang it directly above a fire, radiator or heater.

Yes. Every piece arrives framed and ready to hang, so there's no frame to buy and nothing to assemble. Unbox it, hang it and switch it on.
